Here's a few photos from Coole Park outside Gort. It was Lady Gregory's residence and Yeats spent alot of time there and the surroundings influenced his work. It's well worth stopping in for a walk around en route West.

Escape

Banna Beach, a few miles from my house at home, is without a doubt my favourite place. I love going there on my own and powering off down to the Black Rock. There's always a choice, left for Barrow or right for the Back Rock. Generally I'll chose the Black Rock, I'm kind of scared of Barrow for some reason! There's nothing better than the wind and the fresh sea air. And I love bringing the sand back to Cork stuck in the grooves of my runners!! An Ríocht Abú
1.5 days and counting...
Wahoo, the holliers are nearly upon us. I've no major plans just generally refueling and catching up with all in the Vale of Tralee. I'm going to do my level best to clock up at least a hundred miles on Banna Strand over the course of the fortnight. Also, I'm hoping to get involved in the Dream Concert, organised by the Share a Dream Foundation. This is being held in Tralee on Easter Sunday, a very worthwhile and honourable event.

4 Day Week, how bad!
Was delighted with the day off today, which was completely unproductive. Had a late night last night so energy was non existent. I went to a gig in the Boardwalk, not my ideal venue, but the music was good. The band were the Shamones, Cork based. Really must get back into the gigs, was great when I was living in town but getting lazy now. Nothing better than a good live band.

Round 2
Back for more in Crawford with Colin Manning. The room is a bit stuffy so worrried I'll nod off or generally lose concentration. Not sure what the POA is for our blogging today. Lucifer is next to me typing like crazy. It's the weekend, wahoo. Heading home to the Vale of Tralee at 5. Ringing Mammy Daly at the county bounds to put the dinner in the oven. Which reminds me...totally forgot the Mother's Day card. Oops!

A few shots from a lovely spring afternoon stroll/brisk walk around Blackrock. Being completely immature, I assumed that sunshine= warm weather. I was frozen with the flipping cold and complained for the duration of the walk. Most likely have a bad dose of pneumonia! Still though, there was a lovely spring feeling.
"Easter is great, it's getting brighter, we've two weeks holidays and you don't have to buy anyone presents like Christmas", a quote from a wise woman.(nameless)

Well my first attempt at the blogging disappointed me considerably, not least because I was totally disgusted with the stupid blog address I gave myself, in fairness dalymarytralee... pure unimaginative. And I can't change it either. My photo is taken on Banna beach, a few miles from home. It's my favourite place in the world. I miss out on the weekend walks now though, I'm distracted all day Saturday now!
