Check it Out

Saturday AGAIN

Here in the computer room nearly asleep. I was at the Shawshank Redemption last night in the Opera House. All is can say is Superlative! It was amazing. We were all blown away. I've been a big fan of the film for years. The main characters Du Fray and Red beared an uncanny resemblance to Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. The suspense was palpable, the lighting was executed to perfection, the 'soundtrack' was, at times, haunting. If any of ye have a free evening next week and are lucky enough to get a ticket, I would recommend this shoe without hesitation.

So we're back for more. I am finished my Animation. I'm happy enough with it, no Oscar potential, but all the greats neeed to start somewhere! As for photoshop, I'm not confident in the slightest. I have a few images but nothing has the wow factor, or even a personal touch!

Anyhow, back to business! Adios

Lergic

Back to school, wish I wasn't. Wish I was in bed late in the morning and not facing that last term with Communion (I'll be needing a day off from Crawford on the 15th May) and then the limbo time after Communion. I suppose negativity has been lifted slightly with this lovely weather. Walking to school in the morning, food for the soul. Opening the windows, pulling up the blinds, saying " Ná bac leis na gcótaí"!! Actually bringing my crew swimming tomorrow, first time, should be entertaining. DOing the football training after school and doing a spot of Cardio Tennis tomorrow evening. Actually not too sure what's involved there! I wonder how long being a fitness fanatic will last?? Meanwhile, have procrastinated in the essay department. I'l get to that if I'm alive after the tennis!! See ye Saturday dudes.

O'Gara Conversion and the Sound of Silence

Ain't No Mountain High Enough!!

I went for an invigorating walk early this morning, up to Foley's Glen. Now I would call this Hill walking, but I suppose it's not in the real sense!I was at a substantially higher altitude though and I'm panned out now. Met two lads on racing bikes on our way down, now that's something I could hardly manage.

Mary Daly= household name!!

Have been a bit slack on the blog of late. Missing out on the broadband speed at home in Kerry. Would be required to relocate to the sister's pad in order to gain any results on the unloading front. The weather finally picked up today. It was miserable since Saturday. I'm on a high now from my appearance in this weeks Kerryman. I'm a celebrity around town, I'll be beating off the paparazzi!! We had the famous Spirals disco reunion in the Big Tent on Saturday. Spirals was an institution back in the day!! Ha ha that could be consrued in a number of ways! Can anyone remember the radio ads?"Wednesday night is ladies night and Sunday night is still the best in gold so Let's see your face in Thee place at Spirals Nightclub the Brandon Hotel Tralee". The crowd at the so called reunion was massive but there was no resemblance whatsoever of the Spirals of old. So, the photo mentioned above was actually in the Out and About section of the Kerryman! it wasn't for captaining a team to a club final, or climbing Mount Brandon for charity! Although I did do
my good deed for Easter. I volunteered for the Share a Dream Foundation annual concert on Sunday, also in the famous big tent!! It was a very worthwhile cause and I was glad to do my bit. Involvement in something like this would certainly give a person food for thought. I also came away feeling slightly defeated, like my few hours volunteering was only a drop in the ocean. I will certainly consider becoming more involved in this particular charity www.shareadream.ie

Staying Up Late...Sleeping in Late!!

The holidays are great. I'm actually panning out and doing nothing of worth until Tuesday! It's all starting Tuesday!! I'm home in the Kingdom, out in Banna every morning (I know, I've a slight obsession with the place). Tralee is fierce busy for Easter, there's always a festival of some sort at Easter time. There's great excitement about the BIG TENT. Might go to Mick Flannery there on Monday night, though I'm going to him in Kinsale on the 16th, preempting the celebration of the handing in of the 3rd essay. There were no Eisner books in the library on Tuesday which is a bit of a dose. If anyone is finished their's early....! I came up to get a handle on the animation. I don't know how I feel about my effort.

Are polls a bit boring?
